Daily Pandesal: Thursday Struggle Reflection

DAILYPANDESAL_BANNER-01Having the exchanged life with Christ as our Lord, there are challenges that we shall experience. We shall be challenged, we shall be tested, we shall be tempted. And how do we cope with the struggles that we are to face since everyone’s looking (and even when no one is looking)? Here are some verses that you can reflect on:)

2 Corinthians 12:9-10
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

As a Christian of whatever profession, rank, or background, you will be tested. And even if we stumble, God’s love overlooks our sin. I’m not saying that it’s ok to sin and ehmergesh just sin and keep on repeating on that sin just because God will forgive us no matter what we do. Sinning is stupid: it prevents us from being a better person! And if you’re tempted to do something bad, go back and remember “hey mister that’s a donut!”

The Bible didn’t mention that the Christian would be easy. But one thing for sure is that we can make it through whatever struggle with God! -JayChris
